We Sold Everything and Moved Into a Van – Here’s Why

Well, here we are.

After what feels like years of talking, planning, second-guessing, and dreaming, we’ve finally done it—we sold the house, packed up our lives, and moved full-time into our van. Yep, we’re officially doing the van life thing!

It’s kind of surreal, to be honest. One minute we were living the “normal” life—Bills, routines, takeaways on a Friday night. The next, we were waving goodbye to the house we made a home and saying hello to life on the road. And while that sounds dramatic (and it was, a bit), this decision has been a long time coming.

For ages, we felt like we were just going through the motions. Wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat, not to mention the cost of normal household bills and shopping increasing day by day. We wanted more freedom, more adventure, and more time to just be. To explore new places, meet interesting people, and actually live life, not just exist in it.

So, we took the leap.

Our van isn’t flashy—it’s comfy, cozy, and a work in progress. We’ve already added a few touches to make it feel like ours (and trust us, there’s more decorating to come). Right now, we’re still figuring things out, from where to park to how to keep the fridge running off-grid. It’s all part of the fun… or at least, that’s what we keep telling ourselves when things break!

We’ll be sharing all of it here—the highs, the lows, the weird campsites, and the magic moments. If you’ve ever thought about ditching the ‘normal’ life and hitting the road, we hope our little corner of the internet gives you some laughs, inspiration, or even just a reason to daydream.
